When this brief came in my hand shot right up! As Lanark is my neck of the woods I was happy to take on this challenge. Creating an information site for people of the area and for visitors. The site has ran for many years but required a bit of modernisation.
Each section got its own colour and we worked with pastel tones for the various sub categories. Imagery was either donated by local photographers or sourced from a nice library of free imagery I’ve been collating!
Simple details bring this site to life. Stephen Minns created the new logo for the site and its variations for each section. The iconography style followed suit from there. A 3 column layout meant this site worked very well responsively and was developed by Iris Winter.
The site previously had a lot of clip art style illustrations and gave it a really nice character. The client didn’t want to loose that, neither did we. I had a nice day around Lanark, photographing the landmarks and created a bunch of illustrations for them.
